Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies

Don’t doubt me on this one. I know to some of you, the thought of putting pumpkin and chocolate together sounds a little strange, but you should give it a try!
 
I tested the deliciousness of these cookies the way that any Southern girl might do: I took them to Sunday School! They were gone very, very quickly, and that’s all the proof you need!

 

 

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies

Recipe Ingredients:

  • 1 cup canned pumpkin
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 Tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon milk
  • 1 Tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Recipe Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a cookie sheet. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the pumpkin, sugar, vegetable oil, and egg.

In a separate mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, cinnamon, salt, baking soda, and milk.

Whisk the flour mixture into the pumpkin mixture until well mixed. Add chocolate chips and vanilla and stir together.

Drop cookies onto cookie sheet and bake for 10 minutes.

Devour warm, gooey, chocolate and pumpkin deliciousness with a big glass of milk!
