Nestle’s Chocolate Chip Pie

Pinit

If you’re like me and enjoy pretty much anything that involves warm, gooey, chocolate chips, then this chocolate chip pie is for you! It’s NESTLE’s very own pie recipe, and in addition to being simple, it is heavenly!

NESTLE’s Chocolate Chip Pie

 Recipe Ingredients

  • One 9-inch, deep-dish frozen pie shell (I prefer Pillsbury)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup (1 and 1/2 sticks) butter, softened
  • 1 cup NESTLE semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • Whipped Cream or Ice Cream (optional)

Recipe Directions:

First, follow instructions on frozen pie shell.  This required me to thaw the crust, poke holes in it with a fork, then bake for 10 minutes.  The crust you see here has already been through this process.

Next, beat both eggs until foamy.

Then, add flour, sugar, and brown sugar.

Beat on low to medium speed until well-blended and lump-free.

Next, add softened butter and slowly beat into filling mixture.

Now, it’s chocolate chip time!  Now, the recipe calls for a cup of chocolate chips…

But sometimes, an extra half-cup makes its way into the filling.

No idea how that happens.

Pour mixture into pie crust.

.

Bake for 55-60 minutes.  The pie forms this beautiful, golden crust on the top, while inside, the buttery, chocolate chippy filling is all nice and melty.  Is melty a word?  Because it’s the only way I can describe this yummy pie.  I didn’t have any whipped cream or ice cream to serve this time around, but I did enjoy my slice of pie with a rather large glass of milk.

I certainly give this dessert 5/5 herbs. And, judging from the way my family moans and groans and eats every last crumb, I’d say they agree with me.
