Boston Strong

Boston, MA

In the summer of 2010, for our one-year wedding anniversary, Mister Spice and I took a two-week road trip that began in Washington, D.C. and ended in Boston, MA.  We LOVED everything about Boston, from the baseball…

to the red line self-guided historical tour.

So, like the rest of the nation, I have been horrified at the week’s events.  First, the bombing at the Boston Marathon, then yesterday’s bizarre man-hunt for one of the suspects.  I, as well as others, was so grateful to hear that Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was apprehended, alive.

It is just so horrible to imagine a child, a sibling, a parent, a friend being so suddenly ripped away from you or being badly injured because of the evil actions of these two troubled brothers.  It is also horrible to think of the friends have family of the bombers as they try to deal with feelings of inevitable shock, hurt, and maybe even guilt.  That’s why it is so important to remember to pray not just for the victims of this week’s events, but also for the perpetrators and their families.

To all of you who live in the Boston area or who have loved ones who do, you have certainly been in my thoughts this week, and I know your city will remain “Boston Strong!”
